Sick-Ass Monday

Not sure what is the worst part about being sick with my annual bi-annual cold, it might be;
Having to leave class every 20 minutes to blow my nose
Crippling Sinus headaches
Inability to taste or enjoy food and drinks
Necessity to spend $27 on Mucinex in order to feel better
It could be one of those or a combination of all. Who knows. I just know that it sucks being sick. That brings me to my point for the week. Why the hell can’t we cure the common cold?! Modern medicine has invented artificial limbs and organs and we can now treat most types of cancer, and we have a shot to cure the flu, but we can’t even invent a pill to cure a cold. It’s utterly proposterous. Considering the future didn’t bring me teleportation, flying cars or interstellar travel they could have at least cured my cold.

One Hot August Monday

Today marked the beginning of another school year. Probably millions of people went back to school and millions more went back to jobs from which they had no summer vacation. Beginning school is really a bittersweet experience. On the one hand you get to chill with your bros that you probably haven’t seen/talked to/facebooked since May. However, on the other hand you are no longer free and shackled by the chains of the modern education institution. It’s really a bit of a toss up.
